Below are descriptions for the classes being offered.

The Twirl Program– This is a ballet and tap combo class program for ages 3 – 6. Twirl Pink is for dancers at the beginner level learning movement, basic elements of ballet and tap steps, and using creativity with props! Twirl Lilac is for dancers with 1 year of experience of ballet and tap diving farther into learning the steps and movement of these styles! Both classes will include a workbook, Twirl ribbon, and, at the end of the year, a graduation certificate! One day each month, they will participate in “Twirl Day” with a theme and fun activities in class! 

Combo Ballet/Tap– Ballet and Tap class for dancers graduating the twirl program, or who are 5+ years of age. We will dive into enhancing the technique of ballet and tap steps.

Snazzy Jazzy– Introduction to the jazz genre of dance for dancers enrolled in Combo Ballet/Tap class. In this class, dancers will learn basic steps of jazz with turns, leaps, and kicks in a fun, upbeat environment! We will also be working on rhythms and quality of movement.

Ballet– Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. Starting around age 8 dancers will learn technique, discipline, stamina, and flexibility. Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and is an important part of enhancing skills in all areas of dance. 

Pointe– This class is for Level 3 and 4 dancers taking ballet. This class focuses on pointe technique, elegance in movement, and strength of all the muscles in a dancer’s core, legs, ankles, and feet.

Jazz– Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 dancers taking ballet. Dancers will learn more advanced turns, kicks, and leaps. Working on movement, rhythms, and improvisation skills. 

Tap– Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Dancers will develop style, rhythm, musicality, and coordination while learning different styles of tap dancing.

Modern– Levels 2, 3, and 4 dancers taking ballet. Drawing on many styles of modern dance, in this class, dancers will work on strength and movement. Technique, creative movement, and learning to use the whole body are some aspects taught in this class.

Hip-Hop– Levels 1, 2,and 3. This is a high energy class focusing on popular dancing and movement. This class encourages dancers to bring out their personality and confidence in their movement.

Technique – Levels 1, 2, and 3. For Dancers taking ballet and jazz, this class dives further into developing and perfecting your dancers technique! Working on strengthening, flexibility, and moving in and out of all of the technical movements of dance.

Contemporary - For dancers in levels 2, 3 and 4. This class focuses on expressive movement that is a combination of ballet, jazz, and lyrical styles.      

Pre-Pointe - For dancers in levels 2 and 3 who want to strengthen their bodies and their technique to prepare to go en pointe.
